Wild wild wild
Maimi Yajima is amazing dancer! She is one of the best dancers in H!P today. If even the best. When I saw her movements in Tokaikko Junjou PV my heart skipped some beats and I was mesmerised at once.

Maimiís solo number in Natsu DOKI Lipstick song from C-ute Live Tour 2007 Aki ~Houkago no Essence~
DVD is really captivating. She proves to have good sense of rhythm,
flexible body and hot appearance. You know what I mean when you look
how Maimi moves her hips.

Now when we know Maimiís skills I just hope that UFA does not try to push her to solo career (not yet) and follow the tracks of Maki Goto (never).

Strike a pose
Berryz Koboís two concerts at Saitama Super Arena
on 1st April were the most remarkable achievements on groups career so
far. Memorable concerts with so many awesome moments. You can sense the
intensity Berryz girls felt on that evening when watching 2007 Sakura Mankai Berryz Kobo Live ~Kono Kandou wa Nidoto Nai Shunkan de Aru~ DVD.

Every Berryz concert documentary has itís own very special numbers.
Sakura Mankai has at least two stand outs. Itís cool when the whole
group performs their first single Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai with original choreography but even cooler for me is Chinamiís and Yurinaís version of Nicchoku ~Geinoujin no Kaiwa~.

Girls are walking along the catwalk like professional models and
looking absolutely stunning with their grand posing & leg
movements. Saki or Momo can not do
this kind of numbers. You need long legs to make catwalking enough
effective. So which one wins then in this model competition? Full
points go to Chinami. She just gives much more of herself to this dance
routine. Natural born model?

Cat fight
In a fact this last one was performed in Morning Musumeís 2006 concert Aki ~Odore! Morning Curry~ and was released as DVD on 27th Dec 2006. But I bought and saw it in the beginning of 2007 so you understand why itís here.

My eyes were popping out when I saw Eri and Hitomi doing this Shabondama
number. Eri has always been very entertaining in her own personal way
but Iíve never before seen her as wild and violent as when dancing this
song. Shabondama [Soap Bubbles] is one of the most furious songs MM has
ever recorded. Itís about uncertainty in love and life. Love is like
soap bubbles. Nothing lasts forever.

Both girls are dancing this piece with strong, rough and aggressive
manner. They are fighting against each other. Hitting, kicking and
shouting like she-devils. When Hitomi kicks Eri down to stage floor and
Eri starts crawling on her all fours, I just keep gasping for breath
and thinking how cool and to the point going this choreography actually
is. One of the MMís all time classic dance numbers already.

Most Subjective Best Things in 2007 - Happy

Posted in Zush's playground, MM & H!P | No Comments Ľ

January 15th, 2008

No,
not another year review! Now when all others have already done their
2007 reviews and best of lists itís time for me to wake up in the
middle of January and do my short serie of Most subjective Best Things in 2007. Iím writing only about few things those really did matter to me.

Must be said that Iíve not been following Koharu Kusumiís progress in her solo career as Tsukishima Kirari closely. One reason for that is because I donít care so much about Kirarin Revolution anime series.

Iíve always seen Koha as ďjust another MM girlĒ with slight interest on her. Tsunkuís Miracle Girl
has never been miraculous in my books. She is cute, her singing is
developing more decent as it was in the begining and, to be honest,
Iíve liked both her solo Photo Books. But Koha, as a whole package, has
not convinced me. Not until I happened to browse my downloaded stuff in
the end of December.

I was searching some Morning Musumeís 10th anniversary related clips from my DVD archive when I saw there Kohaís Happy
PV. Because it was burned on DVD I must have seen it before at least
once but I didnít remember what kind of PV it was. I didnít even
remember how that song goes. So I decided to watch it once again. Hah
ha, there I sat and played it over and over again.

Excited about the song itself as it really is a catchy tune. Happy
goes straight into your head and makes you almost sick because itís
stuck in your mind like never ending loop. Excited also about Kohaís
cheery performance in that PV. She does quite simple dance choreography
there but I like it as it is. Happy is a song that makes me happy, what
more can you ask. Thatís why Iíve been wathing this PV almost daily
after I re-discovered it 17 days ago.

As you know, every now and then this kind of surprising awakening
can happen to anyone. For some reasons you ignore something and then
all of a sudden: BANG! Biggest bang for me was when I fell in love with
Berryz Kobo when saw their PV Special Generation few
years ago. Iím not yet 100% Koha fan but sure thing is that Iím not
going to ignore her any more.
